As we approach the close of another challenging year, I’m reflecting on the resilience and courage we see every day from the people we serve – those too often marginalized, overlooked, and forgotten in our society.

At MAF, we stand with low-income and immigrant communities, offering empathy and understanding, keenly listening to their stories, and drawing wisdom from their experiences to determine how we can best help when they need it most. Respectful of who they are and the challenges they face, we offer timely and culturally relevant financial programs and services to help clients become visible, active, and successful in their financial lives.

This is our way of showing up when it matters, helping people as they get ready to face whatever challenge comes next. For some, these challenges might be putting food on the table, paying rent at the end of the month, or confronting a health crisis.

Without support, we know that everyday life challenges can impede or derail families from moving forward.
