Family Reunification Parole Program

Family Reunification Parole Program

MAF believes families belong together and supports the Family Reunification Parole process. We are here to support immigrants through 0% interest, credit-building loans, so USCIS filing fees don’t stand in the way of reuniting families.

USCIS FAMILY REUNIFICATION PAROLE PROCESS

Family reunification is the process by which U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents can petition for their family members to join them in the United States. The process can be lengthy and requires a significant amount of paperwork and documentation.

If you filed a form called I-130 Petition for Alien Relative for a family member who is a national of Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, or Honduras, USCIS may invite you to take part in a process called Family Reunification Parole. This means your family member may be allowed to come to the United States on a case-by-case basis while they wait for their visa to become available.

Updates and eligibility for this program can be found on the USCIS website.

CREDIT BUILDING LOAN

MAF’s Family Reunification Parole Program provides a 0% interest, credit-building loan to cover the costs associated with the family reunification process, including the application fee for the I-130 Petition for Immigrant Relative for a family member of a qualifying country and/or the Employment Authorization Application or Adjustment of Status for the relative once they are paroled to the United States.

By providing a loan, we can help applicants get started on the process right away, even if they do not have the financial means to pay for all the necessary fees upfront.
