In 2022, MAF turned 15! We threw a Quinceañera to celebrate our journey alongside the people who have made our work possible: clients, funders, partners, board members, MAFistas, and friends.
With a live performance from Grammy Award-winning La Santa Cecilia, catering by MAF clients at La Cocina, and great company, it was an unforgettable evening.

Our priority is to bring people together safely. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and Monkeypox and will continue to update and revise our event protocols as necessary. We may change these protocols at any time to protect the health and safety of our guests in accordance with the CDC, state, county, and venue guidelines.
Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment with the following protocols in place:
Proof of vaccination showing that the individual is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required and will be checked at registration. This includes 2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine OR 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Boosters are strongly recommended.
Masks are strongly recommended.
- We strongly encourage people to voluntarily test for COVID-19 before they attend. We kindly ask that you do not attend if you’re feeling sick the day of the event. We’ll have tests on-site for those who would like to test themselves.
For questions about our COVID-19 safety policy, please contact quince@missionassetfund.org.
KQED has ample open spaces and several floors for attendees to social distance. For attendees who would prefer to be outside, we’ll have access to KQED’s beautiful roof deck.
The KQED building has an upgraded HVAC system and ductwork that aligns with CDC guidelines following the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) guidance (PDF). This includes an increased introduction of outside air with dampers open to reduce recirculation and improved central air filtration.
Additionally, countertops, railings, restrooms, and seating areas are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly throughout the day.
Yes, we’ll have videographers and photographers on-site, so you may be featured in video recordings and event photos.
Please wear whatever you’re most comfortable in! Between La Santa Cecilia and Chulita Vinyl Club, there will be ample opportunity to wear your dancing shoes if you’d like to hit the dance floor.
MAF’s Quinceañera is at KQEQ’s headquarters at 2601 Mariposa St. The building entrance is on the corner of Mariposa and Bryant Streets. Street parking is limited in the neighborhood, so we encourage attendees to use public transportation.
