As always, MAF stands in solidarity with low-income and immigrant communities, providing vital financial services during this moment of crisis.
MAF is helping eligible immigrant families finance USCIS applications to remove high financial barriers to naturalization, DACA, and Green Cards. With MAF’s zero-interest loans, low-income families are taking steps toward citizenship and securing their immigration status.
We are coupling financial support with clear and concise information through the My Immigration Journey App (MIJA) to enable individuals to learn about the options available to them, plan their journeys, and connect them to resources as they move forward.
We are supporting families impacted by deportations or detentions with ALMA grants, providing them with timely financial support during devastating family experiences. ALMA grants ensure that families left behind can count on having food on the table or a roof over their heads, offering some stability in times of immense uncertainty.
MAF is deepening our commitment, providing lifelines to immigrant families during this critical time. These unprecedented times demand that we not only stay the course but also acknowledge that so much more is needed.

ALMA (Emergency Grants)
MAF launched the ALMA Grant Program to help families maintain some stability during an immigration crisis. Families receive a grant and access to financial services as they navigate through the challenges and uncertainties of a primary income earner’s immigration removal or detention.
